📦 Setting Up Packaging Models (Only for SC-Packaging)
The SC-Packaging component allows you to configure and select ready-made 3D and 2D packaging models — including popular box styles such as Double Tuck End Box, Snap Lock Bottom Box, and many more.
This feature is exclusive to PriceCal Elite, giving print businesses the ability to calculate, visualize, and price packaging products accurately.

The Packaging Component is designed specifically for packaging product types (SC-Packaging).
It lets you:

Quickly assign packaging structures to your product listings
💡 Note: This feature is available only in PriceCal Elite.

🧱 Create a Packaging Component
Step-by-Step
- select “Packaging”
-
Put a unique code (up to 8 units)
-
Enter a descriptive name for the packaging model. Example: “Double Tuck End Box,” “Snap Lock Bottom Box,” or “Mailer Box.”
- Add a short description to help you recognize the packaging type easily.(Descriptions help team members quickly identify model use cases and box functionality, Example “Standard box with double tuck ends — suitable for small products.”)
-
Choose your preferred Packaging Category from the list.
-
Click the arrow buttons to switch between models to view both 3D and 2D box previews to better understand the structure and folding style
-
Tick the checkbox next to each packaging model you wish to include. Each component can only contain models from one category —🚫 You cannot mix models from different categories in a single component
-
If you want to remove your current selections, click the “Clear” button to reset the model list.
-
Use the pagination buttons to navigate through additional packaging model pages for more options.
- Click “Save as Active” to finalize your packaging configuration.

💡 Notes & Best Practices
-
SC-Packaging works only with PriceCal Elite — ensure you have the correct license.
-
Use clear and consistent naming conventions for your packaging models (e.g. “Box-####” or “PKG_####”).
-
Always review 3D and 2D views before saving to ensure model accuracy.
-
If you plan to offer multiple packaging styles, create separate components for each category.
